Wilco's seventh release, Wilco (The Album), came together quickly in early 2009 and was self-produced with engineer Jim Scott. It pairs the intimacy of Sky Blue Sky with the experimentation of A Ghost Is Born, balancing strong melodies with unabashedly pop arrangements. Highlights include the welcome-mat opener "Wilco (The Song)," the Feist duet "You And I," and the piano-driven closer "Everlasting Everything."
