"I wrote and recorded this music in isolation but got to collaborate with some musical heroes of mine: Aaron Dessner, Bon Iver, William Bowery and Jack Antonoff," she said of the project, into which she poured her every whim, dream, fear and musing. The result is an intimate, story-driven record that marked a bold new chapter in her songwriting.
