Released in 1990, The Sky Is Crying is a posthumous collection of ten previously unreleased studio performances by Stevie Ray Vaughan and Double Trouble, cut between late 1984 and early 1989 and assembled by his brother Jimmie. A showcase of Vaughan's gifts as musician, songwriter and interpreter, it includes the moving "Life by the Drop" and a soulful reading of Jimi Hendrix's "Little Wing." This Mobile Fidelity hybrid SACD is mastered from the original master tapes.
