Originally issued as Halfnelson and reissued under the band's new name, Sparks is the eccentric, witty debut from brothers Ron and Russell Mael. Produced by Todd Rundgren, it lays the groundwork for the duo's five-decade run of arch, theatrical pop with early gems like "Wonder Girl" and "(No More) Mr. Nice Guys."
