Freedom Flight is the 1971 second album from guitar prodigy Shuggie Otis, recorded while he was still a teenager. It is home to the original Strawberry Letter 23, later a chart hit for The Brothers Johnson, and blends soul, blues, psychedelia and jazz with a remarkably laid-back virtuosity. The side-long title track stretches into a sprawling, jazz-inflected jam featuring players such as Al Kooper and George Duke.
