Borboletta was the sixth studio album by the Santana band, notable for its rhythm section, which here includes Stanley Clarke and Airto Moreira alongside Santana stalwarts David Brown, Michael Shrieve, Armando Peraza and Chepito Areas. Saxophonist Jules Broussard and keyboardist Tom Coster share much of the solo space with Carlos, and the second side builds a high-flying groove that blends the band's rhythmic drive with sophisticated soloing, closing with a suite that flows into Dorival Caymmi's "Promise Of A Fisherman."
