Dead Letter Office is a collection of rarities and b-sides by R.E.M., released in 1987. It gathers outtakes and single flip-sides recorded between the Murmur and Lifes Rich Pageant era, including three Velvet Underground covers and songs by Pylon, Aerosmith and Roger Miller. Guitarist Peter Buck contributed wry, self-deprecating liner notes for the original release.
