In the late 1970s, Athens, Georgia was buzzing with a raw but sophisticated music scene that produced the B-52's, R.E.M. and art-rock luminaries Pylon. Former University of Georgia art students invigorated by big ideas about creativity, Pylon released their debut record Gyrate in 1980 and toured across the country in its support. This edition has been remastered from the original audio tapes and reissued by New West Records.
