This 50th Anniversary edition presents What's Going On remastered direct-to-analog from the original primary album tape reels by acclaimed engineer Kevin Gray — one of the first times this has been done since 1971 — pressed on 180g vinyl at Precision. A bonus LP expands the album's palette with four rare cuts making their vinyl debut, including a previously unreleased "stripped" version of the title song, plus all six original mono single mixes and their B-sides. Housed in a tip-on heavy-stock gatefold jacket with complete lyrics, printed sleeves, a rare cover-session image, and an essay honoring arranger David Van De Pitte.
