Southernplayalisticadillacmuzik is the 1994 debut from Atlanta duo OutKast, produced with Organized Noize for LaFace Records. Built on live instrumentation, funk and soul, it announced Southern hip-hop as a credible scene alongside the East and West Coasts. Written and recorded while Andre 3000 and Big Boi were teenagers, it went platinum and spawned the buzz single "Player's Ball."
