On several tracks the celebrated Grammy-winning Bulgarian choir is joined by Lisa Gerrard (co-founder of Dead Can Dance), uniting two of the most distinctive vocal acts in music. The album marries Bulgaria's age-old vocal traditions with strikingly modern arrangements, blending a cappella choral writing with strings, percussion and even beatbox.
