On this gorgeous album - one of his own favorites - alto saxophonist Lou Donaldson soars over an all-star octet arranged by Duke Pearson on seven standards. Wayne Shorter, Freddie Hubbard and McCoy Tyner all contribute solos. Recorded in 1967, it was shelved when Donaldson's Alligator Bogaloo became a hit, and only later given its proper release.
