Los Angeles has often been called a "dream factory" — a topography of hallucinogenic contradictions, from tangerine sunsets diffused by smog to crystal-clutching spiritualists mingling with narcissists. It was against this backdrop that La Luz — Shana Cleveland, Marian Li Pino, Alice Sandahl, and Lena Simon — conceived Floating Features, their most ambitious release yet, consulting landscapes both physical and psychological.
