The multi-talented Johnny "Guitar" Watson was one of the hottest blues artists of the 1950s before reinventing himself as a funk powerhouse. His 1977 album A Real Mother For Ya produced the international hit title track and features "Nothing Left To Be Desired" and "Lover Jones." Watson, who influenced Jimi Hendrix among others and earned a Grammy nomination, passed away while touring Japan in 1996.
