Before his acclaimed solo career, guitarist Joe Satriani fronted the Squares, a trio he formed in Berkeley, CA in the late 1970s. As Satriani describes it, the band was "part Van Halen and part Everly Brothers — a mix of heavy metal, rock 'n' roll, punk and new wave." This collection finally makes those previously unavailable early recordings available, offering a fascinating look at the roots of the legendary Satriani sound.
