A deeply complex character, James Booker released only two studio albums in his lifetime. Classified — his unintended swan song — offers one of his greatest commercially released performances, primarily the result of a whirlwind four-hour session recorded in October 1982 in New Orleans. Alongside several originals, the album includes a jaunty repertoire of mostly local fare, including Fats Domino's "One for the Highway" and Lloyd Price's "Lawdy Miss Clawdy." This edition features remixed and remastered audio in a single-pocket jacket.
