Eighty-five-year-old Hosea Hargrove — a member of the Texas Music Hall of Fame who played for decades alongside Stevie Ray and Jimmie Vaughan — plays in an unmistakable Lone Star style, with a hypnotic quality all his own. He teams here with Birdlegg (Gene Pittman), a whirling, twisting harmonica player who paces the stage. Hosea sings and you feel it deep in your gut; Birdlegg's harp scorches — together they're dynamite.
