200-Gram Vinyl, Tip-On Gatefold Jacket

A jewel of a jazz performance, Helen Merrill's 1955 debut is produced and arranged by a 21-year-old Quincy Jones and features the legendary Clifford Brown on trumpet. Recorded in December 1954 at Fine Sound in New York, the album pairs Merrill's odd, captivating combination of breathy innocence and husky-toned experience with Brown's flawless playing. Original copies have sold for more than $1,000, making this remastered reissue very good news indeed.
