David Byrne's 2018 album and his first solo record since 2004's Grown Backwards. Developed alongside collaborators including Brian Eno and producer Rodaidh McDonald, American Utopia questions the state of society while offering solace through song, in the same spirit as Byrne's "Reasons to Be Cheerful" project. Recorded between New York and London.
