Recorded live at the Essen Jazz Festival in Germany in April 1960, this masterful set finds pianist Bud Powell leading a top-flight bebop trio with bassist Oscar Pettiford and drummer Kenny Clarke. Tenor saxophone giant Coleman Hawkins joins the proceedings on several selections, highlighted by an incredible take on his own composition, "Stuffy." A limited colored vinyl pressing of a prime-era European Powell document.
