At the birth of his solo career, Bryan Ferry released two albums of standards and covers — These Foolish Things (1973) and Another Time, Another Place (1974) — but had never performed them live. Recorded at the Royal Albert Hall on 19 December 1974, this set draws almost entirely from those records, a striking departure from his work with Roxy Music. The performance spans the '30s, '40s and '50s pop and R&B that shaped Ferry growing up, delivered with his unmistakable style.
