Soul-jazz organ master Brother Jack McDuff takes a set of standards and gospel and blues favorites and makes them swing anew on this 1966 Atlantic date, recorded at Chess Studios in Chicago. From a roughed-up "Alexander's Ragtime Band" to the gospel-tinged "Wade In The Water" and a hard-grooving "Can't Get Satisfied," his Hammond organ is always front and center. This Speakers Corner edition was remastered using pure analogue components only, from the master tapes through to the cutting head.
