On a Monday Evening is a previously unreleased 1976 concert recording of the Bill Evans Trio with Eddie Gomez on bass and Eliot Zigmund on drums, captured live at the Union Theater in Madison, Wisconsin. The set mixes contemporary compositions of the era with longstanding Evans signatures, and includes liner notes by Grammy Award-winning jazz historian Ashley Kahn with commentary from Gomez and Zigmund.
