The young man is surprisingly mature and confident throughout, interpreting several of Django Reinhardt's compositions alongside works by his French contemporaries and a pair of his own. A highlight is the rare chance to hear Jackson exclusively on piano. Miles Davis recruited Wilen for his European dates that same year — a measure of Davis's regard for the young Barney.

Features

180 gram vinyl, pressed at Optimal

Mastered from the original analog tapes; faithfully reproduced artwork from the original photos

Label: Sam Records (originally Philips, 1958)

Track Listing

Swingin' Parisian Rhythm

Minor Swing

B.B.B.
